Portobello Beat Aeterna Taupe Glass Mosaic

Glass mosaics offer an endless array of styles, textures and colors and can be used on walls, floors, inside showers and outdoors in swimming pools. Some of the glass mosaic tiles we have in our showrooms are made from post-consumer recycled glass.
Old computer screens, phone screens and used T.V. screens are turned into sand then pressed into shapes. These little shapes are then fired at very high temperatures in a kiln up to 2,000 degrees! The result is an extremely durable product with zero water absorption and a surface as soft as a newborn baby’s skin. The surface can be gloss or matte and both are easy to clean and require no special maintenance or cleaning products. They do however need to be handled a bit more carefully during the installation process.
We recommend using a glass specific cutting blade on your wet saw and finishing the cut edge with a rubbing stone to eliminate the sharp edge. Ask us about our tile saw rental with a glass blade upgrade to make your project as easy as possible.
