Our porcelain pattern tiles are hand chosen for their colors, designs and their…well total awesomeness! Most of these pattern tiles have designs that have been a tradition for generations in places like Spain, Morocco, Italy, and the Arab world. Traditionally, these tiles would have been made out of cement. Cement pattern tiles, while beautiful and authentic, are not the best choice for our style of construction and our desire for a more hygienic and easily cleanable surface. Also of note, a cement pattern tile is about ½” thick making it difficult for a standard installation in our western homes. Cement tiles are also quite porous, requiring them to be sealed and carefully maintained to keep them looking fresh. Porcelain pattern tiles require no sealer, no maintenance and are fun and easy to install on a wall. Pattern tiles make for a playfully fun statement on a shower feature wall, a kitchen backsplash or a powder room floor.
